Matt Damon Matthew Paige Damon, known simply as Matt Damon, is an American actor, screenwriter and producer. He excelled in his studies and showed interest in acting during high school thanks to his teachers. Outside of his career as an actor and screenwriter, he worked as an activist with various foundations against environmental pollution and wars. Fight for access to water If there is a leader in the fight for access to clean water and sanitation as a human right, it is Matt Damon, who fights the water crisis through Water.org, the organization co-founded with CEO and co-founder Gary White, and that helped hundreds of communities in Africa, South Asia and Central America gain access to clean, safe water and sanitation. The organization works in 13 countries on three different continents, expanding and exploring new markets and solutions to help end the global water crisis. One way they found to help was with small loans, through a project called WaterCredit. "We discovered that many people around the world could access clean water through public services, but could not get connected due to lack of money." The actor knew about this: since 2009 he has been traveling the world trying to solve the global water crisis since its foundation. The objective, in addition to helping financially, was to show how a problem directly impacts the female gender.
